3rd Annual Tampa Bay Black Authors Expo

The Tampa Bay Black Authors Expo is back for our 3rd year and this year we're thrilled to be able to host our event at the beautiful Tampa Heights Junior Civic Association Event Venue located at 2005 N. Lamar Ave in Tampa, FL!

Our theme for this year's event is "Bringing Black Books Beyond". It's 2024 and we want to take Black books and authors beyond any obstacle we may be facing... censorship and book bans, the growing influence of social media, the dizzying pace of AI technology. We want to celebrate, support, uplift, and educate our local Black and Brown authors and writers. Our modern day griots!

Join us in our celebration on Saturday September 28, 2024 from 11a to 4p. There will be workshops, entertainment, food, and an amazing variety of authors from the Tampa Bay area and beyond.

Co-host, author, and fitness trainer Jeff White will be back with his popular "Making a Living as a Writer" workshop. There will be a similar workshop for those in the comic book industry and that will be led by Marcus H. Roberts. Host and bookseller/owner Tonisha Kimble will be discussing how independent authors can use AI technology.
